Anubias Barteri Var. Nana 'Pinto' – The Variegated Jewel of Aquascaping
Bring a unique touch of light and striking contrast to your aquarium with the Anubias nana 'Pinto'. This rare and highly sought-after variety is distinguished by its spectacular variegation: each leaf is a miniature work of art, sporting a unique pattern blending deep green, creamy white, and shades of mint green.
Thanks to its slow growth and small size, it is the ideal candidate to illuminate shaded areas of your decor (hardscape), whether in a nano-aquarium or a large planted tank.
🌟 Why you'll love it:
Unparalleled visual contrast: Its white and light green splashes break the monotony of classic green plants and immediately catch the eye.
Generous upon delivery: Our plants are rigorously selected. You will receive a beautiful plant with a minimum size of 5 cm, vigorous and ready to enhance your decor.
Easy epiphytic plant: True to the Anubias family, the 'Pinto' is robust. It simply attaches to a root or rock using glue or fishing line. Do not bury its rhizome!
Shrimp paradise: Its rigid leaves provide excellent resting support for your tank's inhabitants and an ideal patrolling area for shrimp, who love to graze on its biofilm.
💡 Our maintenance tips:
To maintain its beautiful white variegation without algae appearing on its slow-growing leaves, here are the optimal conditions:
Parameters:
Sale size: 5 cm minimum (well-developed rhizome)
Lighting: Moderate to intense (good lighting stimulates and maintains the whiteness of the leaves).
CO2 input: Not mandatory, but highly recommended to boost its growth and vigor.
Placement: To be attached to the hardscape (rocks/wood) in the foreground or mid-ground.
Growth: Slow
Tip:
Although robust, the Anubias 'Pinto' expresses its full potential under well-managed quality lighting and balanced fertilization. Combine it with dark mosses or black volcanic rocks for an absolutely stunning visual effect!
